This policy describes how Bytes, an Android news reader from ALXP Technologies, handles information.

Feeds and accounts

Bytes retrieves publicly available RSS and Atom feeds. No Bytes account is required. Retrieving feeds involves requests to the relevant feed providers, who may process request information under their own policies.

Information stored on your device

Preferences, selected topics, source choices, saved stories, history, filters, widget settings, and customization settings are stored locally on your device.

Advertising and sale of data

Bytes does not contain an advertising SDK and does not sell user data.

Bytes Plus and billing

Google Play handles billing for the optional Bytes Plus supporter upgrade. Bytes does not store payment card information. A verified entitlement may be cached locally for offline Plus access. Google Play processes purchases under Google's applicable terms and privacy policies.

Publisher websites

Opening publisher stories may take you to third-party websites. Those sites are governed by the publishers' own privacy policies, which may differ from this policy.

Exports you choose

Explicit exports leave the device only through the destination selected by you. The chosen destination's own terms and privacy practices apply.

If you email support, ALXP Technologies receives the email address and information you choose to include so we can respond to your request. Avoid sending passwords, payment card details, or other sensitive information.
